Maleria outbreak continues in Kathmandu Valley, 12 patients found in 9 places
Maleria cases have increased in Kathmandu Valley. According to the District Health Office, Kathmandu, 12 cholera patients have been found in nine different places in the Kathmandu Valley since the last time Maleria patients were found in Patan and Naikap.
Earlier, Maleria patients were found in Bagbazar, Dilli Bazaar, Thankot, Balaju, Balkhu, Kapan and Sanepa. Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population, Sangeeta Kaushal Mishra, said that the search for Maleria and water testing has been intensified after finding Maleria patients from different places. He also said that work is being done on the prevention of Maleria and miking on prevention measures .
Spokesperson Mishra also requested to go to the health facility after having diarrhea a few times. As Maleria is transmitted through food, it is recommended to eat only boiled water, not to go out of the house as much as possible, to take care of hygiene and if anyone in the house shows signs of Maleria, other family members should be alert and take the patient to the hospital.
