The death toll in the Sankhuwasabha accident has reached 14

At least 14 people were killed when a passenger bus heading to Jhapa from Madi of Sankhuwasabha met with an accident at seven turns in Puludda of Madi Municipality-6 this morning.

According to the State Police Office, Biratnagar, most of them died on the spot.

The bus (Ba 4 Kha 735) heading towards Damak from Madi to Jhapa had met with an accident at Satghumti in Madi Municipality-6 at around 5.30 pm. The bus had fallen about 300 meters from the road.

According to locals, there were about 19 to 21 passengers in the bus.

According to the State Police Office, further investigation into the incident and identification of the dead and injured is underway.
