Kamana service futsal cup started
The first Kamana Seva Futsal Cup 2021 organized by Kamana Seva Vikas Bank has started on Saturday.
Minister for Youth and Sports Maheshwar Jung Gahatraj inaugurated the competition at Dhanyantari Futsal Ground at Handigaun, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-4.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Gahat Raj said that all sectors including sports have been affected due to the corona virus epidemic for the last two years and now the impact of the infection is diminishing.
He said that sports is important in every field as it plays an important role in disciplining people and maintaining physical and mental health. Stating that the bank has done a commendable job by organizing a futsal competition, Minister Gahatraj also thanked the bank family.
Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Bank Hari Prasad Lamsal, ANFA representatives and others were present at the inauguration program presided over by Kamana Seva Vikas Bank Chairman Sudip Acharya.
A total of 24 teams including various banks and financial institutions and insurance companies are participating in the futsal competition. The 24 teams are divided into 6 groups. Group A includes Kamana Seva Vikas Bank (Green), Rashtriya Bima Sansthan, Sangrila Day Bank and Kumari Bank, Group B includes Nepal Rastra Bank, Prabhu Bank, Garima Vikas Bank and Muktinath Vikas Bank, Group C. In Nepal Investment Bank, Everest Bank, Himalayan Bank and Citizens Bank, Group ‘D’ Best Finance, Reliance Finance, Jyoti Vikas Bank and Shine Resunga Day. Banks, Group E includes Mega Bank, Bank of Kathmandu, Lumbini Development Bank and Premier Insurance Company.
Group F includes Kamana Seva Vikas Bank (Blue), Machhapuchhre Bank, Mahalakshmi Development Bank and Siddhartha Bank.
The organizing bank has stated that the ANFA Football Committee has provided referees for the tournament. League stage games have started today under the two-day competition.
