Agriculture and fish production at Tnanagar Festival

The ‘Ratnanagar Festival’, which is being organized in chitwan Ratnanagar from January 12 to January 20, will focus on agriculture and fish production. In the festival being organized by Udyog Banijya Sangha Ratnanagar, special emphasis will be given to large scale agricultural exhibitions and competitions, fresh vegetables, light irrigation technology, bananas, mushrooms, dairy products, poultry, honey and agriculture and livestock business in Chitwan.

In a press conference held in Ratnanagar on Thursday, Anil Krishna Shrestha, coordinator of the main organizing committee and president of Udyog Banijya Sangha Ratnanagar, said that various services, technology and fertilizers related to agribusiness including locally produced fresh vegetables, fruits, dairy products and poultry would be displayed. During the festival, various seminars related to agriculture, interaction, establishment of special economic zone for economic development and upliftment of Chitwan.

The festival has given priority to the exhibition of new biofilament technology in fisheries as well as the method of fishing and marketing. He said that in order to promote the fishery business, the festival will have an exhibition of fish fry, a pond with fish, medicine stalls for medicine and seeds, awareness materials, audio-visual and seminars.
