Amid UML’s obstruction, the law minister submitted six ordinances
Kathmandu: The government has tabled six ordinances in the first meeting of the House of Representatives amid obstruction by the main opposition party CPN-UML.
Law Minister Dilendra Prasad Badu has submitted the ordinance brought in accordance with the constitution. He has tabled the ordinance in the first sitting of the House of Representatives in the absence of the parliament. It is mentioned in the constitution that the replacement bill should be brought within 60 days of the ordinance being issued in the House of Representatives.
Law Minister Badu has introduced an ordinance to amend some laws related to regulation of Nepal Police and State Police, acid and other hazardous chemicals, social security, railway ordinance, some laws against sexual violence and some acts related to criminal offenses and criminal procedure.
