Young man beaten to death in Bhaktapur

BHAKTAPUR, DEC 06 – A young man was killed in Bhaktapur after being beaten and stabbed to death. A man has been killed on the bank of Hanumante river bordering Madhyapurthimi Municipality-3 Gatthaghar and Suryabinayak Municipality-3 Balkot.The body of Rajan Shrestha, 33, of Balkot in Suryabinayak Municipality-3 has been found dead after being beaten and killed using a sharp weapon, according to the Metropolitan Police Circle, Thimi.

According to Narahari Regmi, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Metropolitan Police Circle, Thimika, Shrestha was killed after he cut his Hanumante iron bridge while he was on his way home. According to the details of the incident, Shrestha was rescued by a local worker at 10 pm and taken to Madhyapur Hospital for treatment.Metropolitan Police Inspector and Information Officer Lok Bahadur GC said that the incident took place at around 10 pm and the deceased had serious injuries on his face. He said that an investigation has been started into the incident.

Police were searching for the man who had beaten her overnight. Police have claimed that the process of interrogation of some suspects is underway and the culprit will be identified soon.
