A man has been found infected with a new variant of corona virus, Omicron, in New Delhi, India.

Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain has confirmed this. So far, only one person has been infected, he said.

People infected with Omicron in New Delhi have returned from the African nation of Tanzania. The 37-year-old has been admitted to LNJP Hospital.In addition, five people in India have been found to be infected with Omicron so far. Two cases were reported in Bangalore, one in Mumbai, one in Jamnagar and one in New Delhi.
