The corporation has increased the prices of cooking gas, petrol, diesel, kerosene and aviation fuel. The price of petroleum products has increased 18 times in a row in the three months since the Corona epidemic.
This time the price of petrol, diesel and kerosene has been increased by Rs 3 per liter. Now, the price of petrol has gone up to Rs 136 per liter, diesel and kerosene to Rs 119 per liter.
The price of cooking gas has been increased by Rs 75 per cylinder to Rs 1,575. Earlier, the price of gas was increased by Rs 50 on October 27.
The corporation has also increased the price of cooking LP gas five times in a row after the epidemic and has now raised it to Rs 1,575 per cylinder. The corporation has raised Rs 25/25 twice last year but this year it has increased Rs 75 per cylinder from Wednesday night. This year alone, gas prices have risen three times.
Meanwhile, the All Nepal Independent Students’ Union (ANNISU), a student wing of the CPN-UML, has burnt a statue of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba in protest of the rise in prices of petroleum products.

Consumer rights activists and student organizations have been protesting after the Oil Corporation again increased the price of petroleum products on Wednesday.
