The United States will provide special accommodation for Hong Kong citizens

The United States has provided special facilities for Hong Kong citizens to stay for 18 months. President Biden has accused China of undermining the rest of the democratic process and institutions, including limited freedom of education and restrictions on the freedom of the press, paving the way for Hong Congers to settle in the United States.

After China introduced special security laws in Hong Kong, the United Kingdom also brought a permanent residency program for Hong Kong citizens and the United States also brought a similar law. Citizens of Hong Kong can now extend their visit to the United States.

Accusing China of trying to curb Hong Kong’s independence, US President Joe Biden said he would allow tourists to stay for up to 18 months.

Hundreds of Hong Kong nationals living in the United States will benefit from the scheme, according to international media reports.

Under the new security law, China has arrested more than 100 people, including human rights activists and opposition leaders.
