President Bhandari inaugurated the distribution of Melamchi water
Kathmandu, April 2
Melamchi water distribution has been inaugurated in Kathmandu Valley. President Bidhyadevi Bhandari inaugurated the program by pouring water from a stone fountain at a program organized at Bhrikuti Mandap.
Distribution of water from Melamchi River, Sindhupalchowk has been started in Kathmandu from Chaitra 17.
According to Tiresh Prasad Khatri, Chief of the Melamchi Drinking Water Project Development Committee, “Currently, water has been distributed to 15,000 households in the Kathmandu Valley as a test.” He said that Melamchi water would be distributed soon inside the Kathmandu Valley ring road.
