6 districts ‘Covid Free’, Kathmandu and Lalitpur still in ‘Red Zone’

Kathmandu. The number of active infected people of covid-19 has been reduced to zero in six districts of Nepal. Manang, Mustang, Dolpa, Humla, Mugu and Salyan are among those who are ‘covid free’ due to zero infection.According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population, the number of active infected people in Sunsari, Bhaktapur, Kaski, Nawalparasi East, Banke and Kailali is more than 200 to 500 while the active infected people in Kathmandu and Lalitpur are 598 and 553 respectively.

More than 500 actively infected districts have been placed in the ‘red zone’ for risk of infection. Apart from this, the number of active infected people in other districts is less than 200.At present, the infection rate in Nepal is 17.6 percent and the number of active infected people is 6,386. The total number of infected has reached eight lakh 22 thousand 830.There are 2,477 actively infected people in Bagmati. There are 1,626 active infected people in the three districts of Kathmandu Valley alone.

Similarly, the number of active infected people in Home Isolation and various treatment rooms of hospitals is 778 in Province No. 1, 655 in Province No. 2, 1,072 in Gandaki, 917 in Lumbini, 174 in Karnali and 467 in Far Western Province.
