Nepse closed down 72 points
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has closed down by 72 points. On the first trading day of the year, the Nepse index has dropped sharply. The Nepse index, which has been declining since the start of trading, fell by 2.90 percent today.
In this process, 89.20 million shares worth Rs. 4.9 billion have been bought and sold. Nepse is in a continuous downward trend after the Nepal Rastra Bank introduced a policy of Rs. In particular, the market started declining after the National Bank of Nepal (NBN) made it possible for an investor to borrow up to Rs 120 million from three banks on the security of shares.The market has started declining further after the NRB maintained the old system while reviewing the monetary policy. After falling by 72 points today, the Nepse index has reached 2513 points. On the day of the overall market decline, all the 13 groups traded today have declined.
The life insurance company group has declined by 302 points while the non-life insurance company group has declined by 251 points. Similarly, the development bank group has declined by 203 points today while the microfinance group has declined by 131 points.
Today, investors in Nyadi Hydropower Limited have earned the most. Investors earned the most after the company’s share price rose 10 percent to Rs 454 per share. Similarly, the share price of ICFC Finance has declined the most by 8 percent per share today.
