Export to India increased, while export to China decreased
Kathmandu, March 18
The current fiscal year 2076/077 on Magh the total import of goods in the country has increased, where the export of goods have also increased.
Comparing to the same period of the previous year, the total export increased by 7.6 percent which is Rs. 69.92 billion. The total export during the corresponding period of the previous year was Rs. 64.97 billion.
Exports to India increased by 8.6 percent during the period, while exports to China declined by 55.2 percent. Similarly, total merchandise imports during the review period increased marginally compared to the same period of the previous year. The total import during this period was Rs. 803.64 billion. Imports from India have increased during this period, while imports from China and other countries have declined. The trade deficit improved by 0.7 percent during the review period.
The total expenditure of the federal government till Magh of the current Fiscal Year has increased by 2.6 percent as compared to the same period of the previous Fiscal Year and accounted for 33.9 percent of the total allocation. About 96.6 percent of the target including revenue and other receipts has been mobilized. Foreign aid commitments have increased by 71.5 percent.
